Bellator Signs 12-1-1 Featherweight George "Insane" Karakhanyan |

Today Bellator Fighting Championships announced the signing of lightweight standout Georgi “Insane” Karakhanyan to an exclusive agreement. Karakhanyan, a former professional soccer player, will compete in the featherweight (145 lb.) division during Bellator Season 2.
Karakhanyan, 24, has compiled a record of 12-1-1 since making his professional MMA debut in 2006, and was rated by multiple websites as the top unsigned featherweight in the world prior to his signing with Bellator. His only loss came via a 2008 split decision.
This announcement comes on the heels of Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney (@Bjorn Rebney) announcing on Twitter yesterday that “Coming up next 145 lbs. We have four signed fighters so far who are a combined 38-2. First one will be announced tomorrow.” |
