Is this him?

Doesn't say who gave him his purple belt (that I can see) but there is a video of it here; http://martialfarts.fightlinker.com/?p=1309

I believe this guy also posts on here. At least, it would make sense from the website name!

Yeah thats the guy, there seems to be loads of stuff on the website he's done but my concern is that he doesn't say who awarded the purple belt and when, and there is no telephone number to call and ask, perhaps the best way is to pop down his club and ask?

I know he's on twitter

He spent a lot of time in Japan too.

I assume the video I linked to will reveal who awarded his belt?

He was awarded his purple by his instructor in Japan, Tomari-sensei at Paraestra Hakata.  He is legit.

Ok, found a little more, he was awarded his purple belt in Japan by Tomari Kenshi, of OJJ, who in turn was awarded his black belt by Leo Vieira and Yuki Nakai, not that I know much about these names, but now it all seems to check out I think I may call in to train Smiley

Oh shit! People talking about me. I don't like it!

Anyway, I have a purple belt that I received after four years training in Japan under Kenshi Tomari of the Paraestra organisation.

I trained here:

www.paraestra-hakata.com

And like the kind chaps said above, there is video proof!

I wrote about the experience here, http://martialfarts.fightlinker.com/?p=1292 and there are pics etc.

You can contact me on monkeypalm(at)hotmail(dot)com if you are just around the corner then pop in! Training is on tomorrow (Saturday) at 10:00 ...

This shows how easy it is for legit guys to answer "Who awarded your belt?" Smiley

no worries guys! thanks for the fair treatment.

there's something vaguely satisfying about having a background that stands up to scrutiny.

i dont know how these frauds manage it, they must be sick with worry about being found out all the time...

If it helps any further Ive met Matt on one occasion and he seems a great bloke, had the pleasure of rolling with him and he was very good.  He seems very passionate and if he puts half the effort into the club that he does his blog your onto a winner.
