and as an instructor you shouldnt be a bullshitter

there is a well known thai boxing instructor who fibbed he was in the SAS - and know has a bad name even though his thai wasnt that bad

as a student how are you to know whats good and bad really....you have implicit trust in the guy/gal teaching you

im telling you this i dont know ANY fighter who is 80 and 2 or whatever he claims...ive been in thai boxign for 10yrs, been to thailand over 30 odd times and still yet to meet someone with a record that good

i also help run a gym which has legit BJJ and am proud of its heritage as a sport...so bullshit like this annoys me both personally and also as a broader effect on the sport....

quite why your self proclaimed master cant verify any of his BJJ belts - something of which people are PROUD of - smells fishier than Pat Butchers underwear

What is known is that Bob Spour did join the Army, and was in for three years in the MT Section. It is, however, unsure whether he was a Regular or TA soldier, as nobody from that era in the Regular QLR could remember him - despite Bob being a cheeky chappy Geordie and all that.

Bob’s slow and very painful (and public) demise into ridicule started months before The Sun got wind of the story. Bob Spour had plastered the internet with his tales of daring do - particularly on YouTube with his ‘SAS FIGHT SECRETS’. As Bob would say ‘You only have to type in my name and you will find me!’

And find him the Waltenkommando did. YouTube alone yielded at least three business ventures, books, seminars, video games, TV and tabloid news interviews (some even slating genuine members of ‘Them’) - all of which added to his credibility, and all with the same theme: tough ex-SAS Sgt Bob Spour blah blah blah. He could take you up the Fan and down again for £80 - just like the SAS; or beast you for only £150 - like the SAS on his SAS Survival Days. What a Bargain!

The Army Rumour Service (ArRSe) caught him and have a nice long page with all of his bullshit claims on it and details of the hunt.  The 'Waltenkommando' are the Armed Forces equivalent of the BJJ Police, seeking out bluffers, bullshitters and Walter Mittys everywhere.
