Camps in Brazil
«

I've been looking all over the Internet for BJJ camps, i keep coming up with Gracie Camp and nothing else. I've looked into this already though.
Does anyone know any other good camps with good instructors?
Thanks.

I really enjoyed the BTT camp in Barcelona at the end of aug and I got a lot out of it. It was taught by Mario Sperry and Minotauro. Its not as expensive to get to for those who cant get to Brazil.

That sounds like a good option, i'll look into it as money is gonna be a major problem if i do go to brazil.
Keevoid, can i ask the following? :
- How long did you go for?
- Did you stay at the camp?
- How much did it cost you?
- How often did you train?
Thanks.

It is only a short camp. It was 5 days training from 31 Aug. We trained 5 hrs a day, which didnt seem too much the 1st day, but with the heat and the flies. We did no gi class during the day (which we were thankful for cause it was too hot to put the gi on) then had lunch and played by the pool, in the evening we had a gi class before dinner.
The price was inclusive of the training and dorm accomodation, though the food wasnt the best. It cost 550 Euro. You had to stay at camp cause it is in a tiny town 45 min outside barcelona. But it was nice to get to know jits people from lots of different countries, though there were most of us were from ireland, equalling the amount of spanish.

550 Euros for 5 days? Or just 1 day?
Assumming it was 5 days, i want to go for 7 weeks, so it would cost me £3649.91 (+£750 for flights)
That is more expensive than going to brazil.

550 for 5 days for training food and accomodation. Its not on all summer only the once. Its for people who dont have that sort of time and money for 7 weeks away.

went and stayed in barra, lived in a hostel-cean basic on suite. cost me 800reis about £130 if i remember correctly for the month. 20 min stroll to the original gracie barra academy in barra itself to clear up confusion. great place and i can understand how they turn out such good fighters, 140 reis for the month (under £40 for unlimited training) i learnt so much from it. the living out there is cheap, the food is cheap, BUT the flight price sucks, cheapest you'll find is £550. also stayed in leblon to train at rillion's. phenom! simple. leblon's hostel i stayed in was the bollox but a lil more expensive.
