I've had an awesome Facebook message from some guy associated with this club. Don't really understand exactly what he means all the time as it's not that well written, but...

He claims someone has rung my instructor (which I will obviously check up on) and that I was rude in my initial messages to Stuart (I have asked for an exact quote).

I think he has claimed I edited messages before posting them here, or that there are messages I didn't post here. I can assure everyone, neither of those things are true... obviously you only have my word on that.

To be fair, to the untrained eye, BJJ is not the most exciting to look at visually. I mean, where is the board breaking and roundhouse kicking? And the slow-mo knife defenses by podgy blokes with handlebar moustaches? BJJ is clearly onto a loser on that front.

Yeah, we need to get our act together... silk gis with baggy sleeves and some "KIAI!!"s would be a good start I think?

LMAO @ "elitist"!!

Fighting is elitist by its very nature ...you win and live or you lose and die! Any 'respect' for others principle is a separate, philosophical learning that might enhance the mind that drives the body but is not essential for the mechanics of actual fighting.

...And regardless, respect is to be earnt not expected. Anyone who lies to their students does not respect them or indeed have self-respect IMHO.

Aside from instructors making fraudulent claims regarding the arts they teach, it is extremely worrying that there are instructors out there who teaching stuff that would get someone seriously hurt. These poor students walk into these schools genuinely thinking that they will be taught useful, practical martial arts that may protect them and possibly save their lives, only to be confronted with rubbish like that.

You mean this wouldn't work? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F50z63zqO9A

I particularly like the one that starts at 0:35 which ends with him turning his back to his attacker.

And LOL at the guy wanting to spar but possibly ignoring the rules... those ones already played out a long time ago many times.

now,is it just me,or is it just a tad illegal that once you have disarmed your assailant, you then proceed to draw a sharpened blade across his throat and ,like, kill him?
you`d have no leg to stand on in court, you`d go down for it,when you should have just let the prick wave his toy in your face, yes sir-no sir him then legged it.
have these fuckers ever seen a real stabbing.i have, admittedly on cctv, and there wouldnt have been a damn thing you could have done about it.no technique on earth would have saved that poor blokes life,it was two to the throat and three in the chest in about 1.5 seconds.
if someone had the intent to kill you with a knife and knew what he was doing, youre toast, simple as that.dont let anyone tell you otherwise.

This thread has managed to draw me out of the shadows its that good! Not that keen on the witch hunt type thing if people are minding their own business, but these guys are clearly taking the piss! They are also advertising MMA to their students,!!  Maybe a post on Cagewarriors would be able to stir some investigation into their credentials in this area??  Grin

Like I said, if they'd just been honest and removed the reference to BJJ without any fuss, none of this would have happened.

They brought in on themselves Smiley

Glad you enjoyed btw, haha Wink

Treeboy has obviously never been attacked by anyone with a knife.

Ok the video isn't the best, it's showing slow motion moves so you can see how to do it and adapt it into your own style.  The blade acros the neck is just a bit of fun.

Seriously you saddos, have nothing better to do than sit at a pc and drool over a forum of bollox?

I mean BJJ what's that?  prancing about on your arses like untrained chimps, I can see that working in the real world, someone comes at you with a knife and you sit down and hugs their legs like spoilt kids!!

Now this is the email Rob, my fellow sheep defiler, posted to everyone in the Bridlington group,

"Hi

I noticed you posted on the wall about this club. I think you should be aware of this regarding them offering Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu lessons. It may also make you see Stuart Hinken in a different light;

http://www.efnsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=6074.0"

I mean how rude is that?  what an asshole, this was his first contact with teh school, and he wonders why the Sensei won't give him the time of day.

We'ver been rather polite till now, if he';d just called the number attached to the site in the first place and acted respectfully, it'd be different.

Everyone thinks their style is the best, but we don't practise a sport, we practise self defence, oh, and respect and discipline.  I wonder what your affiliations will think when they read the complete disregard you have shown to another martial arts form?

I realise that the majority of the members on here haven't been involved with this, but for those that have, what a bunch of wankers you really are!!
